The first interclub games since December commence this week. This is the beginning of the road back to full league fixtures for season 2021/22.
Leading the way are the U14 boys and girls in a North District 8 a side round robin competition. The girls get underway on Wednesday at Aberdeen Sports Village and at the same time the boys are at Rubislaw.
Esther and Fay have organised 2 GCW girls sides with the able assistance of Kevin Goodbrand. The boys side have one team being looked after by Thomas Morrison. Umpiring support for the girls comes from Kirsty Dewhirst and Amy Simmers and the boys from Connie Hatfield. We wish we could encourage you down to watch but sadly we are still under restrictions on spectators so moral support is all we can seek.
The U14s also have a regional day at Dalnacraig in Dundee on the 12th June so this will be good preparation for Esther’s proteges.
Sunday the 6th,13th and 20th June will see the U16s underway in a North Competition featuring Bon Accord, GCW, Gordonians and Ellon. These games will take place at Portlethen and be 11 a side and will be the first proper 11a side games in 2021.
Good luck everyone and also to the U10 and U12s who also start in June.
